Highly bioavailable, pure astaxanthin safely fights inflammation to extend life

Human longevity company AX3 Life announces groundbreaking life-extension discoveries related to its longevity supplement AX3® Bio-Pure Astaxanthin – A highly bioavailable, pure and environmentally sustainable form of astaxanthin that safely combats inflammation and other signs of aging to extend life and healthspan.

AX3® Bio-Pure Astaxanthin was evaluated in a major longevity study conducted by the Intervention Testing Program (ITP), a peer-reviewed program supported by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) . ITP is widely considered the gold standard in longevity research and uses lifespan as its primary endpoint. Lifespan studies in humans take decades, so ITP’s rigorous testing of lifespan in laboratory mice represents the most reliable and practical assessment of mammalian lifespan available.

Years of ITP research results show that AX3® Bio-Pure Astaxanthin extended the median lifespan of male mice by 12%, which was statistically significant (p=0.003). Administration was started when the mice were in middle age and showed consistent survival benefits compared with control animals throughout their lifespan. Astaxanthin has also been shown to extend lifespan in several non-mammalian model organisms (yeast, roundworms, fruit flies), and ITP has now extended this finding to mammals (mouse).

“This research provides a new avenue in the quest to extend human lifespan, as astaxanthin is the first drug in ITP’s 20-year history that can extend lifespan by more than 10%, and is also very safe for long-term use and can be widely used AX3 said Dave Watumull, co-founder and CEO of Life and co-author of the GeroScience paper reporting these findings. “This study highlights why astaxanthin, and specifically AX3® Bio-Pure Astaxanthin should be a key part of everyone’s longevity regimen. “

The complete research results were published on December 2, 2023 in GeroScience, a top peer-reviewed journal that publishes cutting-edge research related to aging biology. Earlier this year, AX3 Life presented its most significant findings at the ONEFUTURE Summit hosted on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.

“After 25 years of hard work advancing the research and development of astaxanthin, we are pleased to see this prestigious independent study demonstrating the longevity benefits of astaxanthin,” David Watumull, co-founder of AX3 Life said and co-author of the above-mentioned paper in GeroScience.

Our mission is to help people live longer, healthier lives, and if extrapolated to humans, these results could result in an increase in median lifespan of nearly a decade, demonstrating the life-changing power that astaxanthin may have. “
